Mickey, Wilson, Weiler, Renzi & Andersson, P.C. traces its history to the law firm founded in 1946, by William C. O'Brien.

We serve clients throughout the Northern Illinois area, offering a wide range of legal services, including municipal, school, corporate and civil litigation. The firm is listed in Martindale-Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys.

Our firm is structured into several areas:

First, our Civil Litigation division
handles all aspects of commercial and personal injury litigation, also including employment disputes/discrimination, age discrimination, elder abuse, nursing home malpractice, contract/ business disputes.

Second, our Local Government, Municipal and School Law division
involves comprehensive representation of municipalities, school districts and fire protection districts of all sizes and types, with diverse experience in managing the legal aspects of expansion, planning and zoning, municipal finance and public bonds, and compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Freedom of Information Act, and related laws affecting the operation of units of local governance.

Third, the Elder Law Center
provides strategic planning for the legal needs of seniors and their families, including asset management/estate planning, long term care/Medicaid planning, and disability planning.

Fourth, our Real Estate division
provides support for all forms of Real Estate transactions, including assistance with the purchase and sale of both residential and commercial properties, expertise in Starker and other specialized forms of real estate transfers, and litigating matters relating to the ownership, lease or use of properties.

Finally, our Corporate Law division
can counsel every aspect of business from the funding and formation of new partnerships, corporations or LLCs, to the daily operation of businesses including interaction with customers, suppliers and employees, to dispute resolution, litigation and winding up of corporate business.

The focus on discrete practice areas enables the firm to provide the highest quality legal assistance possible, while promoting a synergy between
complementary areas of importance. For example, our expertise in civil litigation, elder law and real estate law means that Mickey Wilson is equipped to handle any questions involving property from start to finish--through any obstacles our clients may need to surmount.

The firm is also actively involved in and committed to community affairs, regularly providing speakers to participate in various legal, educational and community/school based programs. In an effort to continually remain active in the community, our attorneys presently sit on, or have sat on, the Board of the Kane County Bar Association (including two past presidents and the current chairperson of the Municipal Law Committee), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (including the past president of the Illinois chapter), the Elder Law Section Council (Chairperson) of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Aurora YMCA, Fox Knoll, the Executive Committee of the Illinois Council of School Attorneys, the Greater Aurora School/Business Partnership Program, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Family Counseling Service, Community Counseling Service, and the Aurora Country Club.
